Why these guides exist
Garage door repair has a trust problem: surprise fees, upselling and scams are common complaints. Our guides exist so you can understand the problem and judge a quote before anyone touches your door. There's nothing to sign up for.
Where the numbers come from
- Every price, statistic and safety rule links to its source, with the date we checked it
- Prices are typical published ranges (mostly national), not quotes. Your written quote is the price that counts
- When a local company starts working with us, we'll add its real prices, clearly labelled as its own
How the pages are written
- Drafts are written with the help of AI tools, then every fact is checked by a person against the linked source before publishing
- We don't publish anything we couldn't back up with a source or our own direct experience
- Each guide shows the date it was last updated. We only change that date when the content changes
What we never do
- Publish fake reviews, fake addresses or invented prices
- Name and shame individual companies
- Accept payment for a recommendation in a guide
